Chocolate Cheesecake Brownies

For the recipe Chocolate Cheesecake Brownies

For the Brownie:

125 g Butter
50 g Dr. Oetker Fine Cooks' 72% Extra Dark Chocolate
Medium Eggs x 3 Beaten
125 g Plain Flour
20 g Cocoa Powder plus extra for dusting
1 Dr. Oetker Baking Powder Sachet (1 tsp)
125 g Caster Sugar
75 g Dr. Oetker Fine Cooks' Milk Chocolate broken into chunks

for the Topping:

300 g Full Fat Cream Cheese
120 g Soured Cream (8 tbsp)
30 g Caster Sugar (2 tbsp)
15 g Cornflour (1 tbsp)




Chocolate Cheesecake Brownies (Essentials)

Heat the oven to 180°C/Gas Mark 4. Line a 20cm square cake tin with non-stick parchment. Melt the butter and the chocolate over a very low heat in a saucepan, then leave to cool for 10 mins. Stir in the beaten eggs.


Sift the flour, cocoa, Baking Powder and sugar into a bowl, add the chocolate chunks and pour into the butter mixture. Mix well and pour into the tin. Bake for 15 mins until a skin has formed on the cake.


Meanwhile, mix together the topping ingredients. Pour over the part-cooked cake and smooth the surface. Bake for a further 15 mins, remove from the oven and leave to cool. Cut the cake into 12 squares and dust with cocoa.
